A productive morning

A few of us changed the jib in the morning and then set the jib. The others did numerous different things (for example: Cleaned the fridge, cleaned the toilets, read something or slept).

A few of us helped the galley team to make pizza and salad. The rest of the group helped set the sails. Today we organized our watches, because on Sunday no one has school. We asked in our groups which watch every person would like to do.

In the C-Watch, surprisingly, the most wanted to do the watch from 00:00 to 04:00 instead of the watch from 12:00 to 16:00. Five people from the C-Watch did the watch from 00:00 to 04:00 and the rest (three people) did the other watch.

Here you can see that the sails were all set 😁. Setting the sails took four hours. Unfortunately, we took the new sail down directly afterward, as the mainsail took too much wind from it.

Kyrill (not in the picture), Vera and I had a memorable time on watch. Also, we changed the time tonight. Every watch had to make 20 minutes more (00:00 to 04:20, 04:20 to 08:40, 08:40 to 12:00). Since 14:10, we’ve been having our silent hour. We either did our reflection or if already done, just enjoyed the calmness. During the silent hour, some people read or wrote in their diary.

The Atlantic crossing is going very well so far.

Vera: Hey Mama & Papa, sorry, dass kein Brief von den Kapverden kam! Irgendwie kam ich einfach nicht dazu…🙈 Aber , um die wise guys zu zitieren, es ist „alles im grünen Bereich“ . Das Wichtigste sind wir und das Jetzt und Hier und dass wir alle hier zusammen sind. Übrigens war ich heute zum Klüverwechsel im Klüvernetz – toll 🤩.
