Every morning when I wake up, I look at my advent calendar. It is a chocolate advent calendar with a very nice picture of me and my family on it. Inside, there are mini Kinder Bueno, mini Kinder Riegel and chocolate bonbons.

I asked some people what type of advent calendar they have:

  • Timo: Timo has an advent calendar made by his family, filled with pictures and letters from them.
  • Sali: Sali has one from his friend’s family and even from his favorite restaurant. Inside, he finds a small sweet, a letter and some pictures of his friends, family, or the „Ochsencotelette“ from his restaurant (it looks delicious).
  • Jana: Jana has a calendar with small paper bags that she hung on the wall next to her bed. Inside, she finds a sweet treat like a Mars bar or a Snickers. She told me that it’s the thing that keeps her going through the day.
  • Maxim: Maxim also has an advent calendar made by his mom. She filled little bags with sweets and small presents, like a disco plug-in bowl for his phone.
  • Jakob: Jakob has a chocolate advent calendar. On top of the little calendar, there are pictures of his friends and family. His calendar is from Lindt, so Jakob can enjoy one Lindor ball every morning.
  • Nico: Nico got one from his aunt, which includes a small sweet and an item like a headlamp, which he found in his calendar today.
  • Enno: Enno has two calendars with very nice photos of his family. He often shows me the pictures and tells me who is who.
  • Strate: Strate often says to Maxim that they should go and eat the marzipan chocolate from his calendar.

To end my report, I want to give a quick update on the day:

It started with porridge and scrambled eggs. From 9am to 1pm, Charlie Watch was on duty with the first officer Marie, Ella, Timo, Jana, Nico, Jasper and me. For lunch, we had some leftovers from yesterday. After lunch and the two meetings, the math lesson started.

Yesterday and today, we did a „Warme Dusche“ activity. Everyone wrote a few nice things about each other on pieces of paper, which we’ll receive soon.

To end the day, Maxim and I gave haircuts to Strate and Nico, who now look much more attractive. Now, we’ll listen to Miriam’s Pathway presentation about fake news.
