Today we left the port of Ijmuiden in the Netherlands at 8:00 am and went to Folkestone to get our new captain. At 8:30 am we got in a new timezone and it was a little bit confusing. At 8:00 am (new time) I had my watch until 12:30 am. It was pretty cold, like everyday, but the waves were much smaller than on the way to Ijmuiden, so almost nobody was seasick.

At about 10:00 am there was a giant containership that passed us pretty close, like 50 meters, but everything was under control. After that it turned 360° degrees und drove away.

We were on a very busy route, almost like a highway, so many big containerships were near us and also passed us.
Finally sunshine
After my watch, there was much sunshine, so many of us just stayed outside and laid down or read a book. It was great until the weather got bad. The wind got stronger and so the waves got bigger and some of us, including me, got seasick again.
But it was not as bad as before. Almost nobody had to puke, only about three people.

Arrival in Folkestone
In general it was a pretty nice day. There was a lot of sunshine and small waves. It was a nice variety so you could go outside and relax. At 9:00 am the next morning we arrived in Folkestone, six hours before our predicted time.
