Wie jeden Morgen wurden wir geweckt und heute haben meine Watch und ich die Wache von vier bis acht übernommen.

Wenn man wirklich wach ist, wird einem gesagt, wie man sich wetterbedingt anziehen soll. Beim Aufstehen muss man immer sehr aufpassen, dass man die anderen nicht weckt. Dann zieht man sich an, putzt die Zähne und legt den Klettergurt an. Dann müssen wir schnell nach oben, damit wir pünktlich auf der Brücke sind.

Wenn wir auf der Brücke angekommen sind, wird das Handover gemacht, das heißt, dass wir die Aufgaben übernehmen, welche die anderen vorher gemacht haben. Als alle Aufgaben neu verteilt waren, ist die vorherige Watch runtergegangen.

Irgendwann haben die Segel angefangen zu killen und wir haben versucht, sie noch dichter zu holen, damit sie wieder den Wind einfangen. Als wir wieder zurück auf die Brücke kamen, fiel Amelie eine dunkle Wolkenfront auf, die potenziell Regen verheißen könnte. David, unser First Mate, hat sich gleich daraufhin an das Wetterradar gesetzt, um das herauszufinden. Es hat am Ende zwar nicht geregnet, wir haben aber trotzdem die Segel eingeholt, da sie geflattert haben.

Den letzten Teil nach Kopenhagen sind wir dann unter Motor gefahren und haben die Vorsegel ordentlich gepackt, da es möglich war, dass sich die Queen momentan in Kopenhagen aufhält und um 09:00 haben wir dann angelegt.

Before we had free shore leave we went in watches. Forewatch (my watch) firstly went through the Queens palaces then headed to the marble chapel. The marble chapel was made of grey marble and from what I could see it had a whispering chamber. After we left the chapel we then headed along to the street Nyhavn which is famous for its multitude of sailing vessels that often are moored there. After this we then headed to the Local art museum or the Glyptoteket on the way passing through the Christiansborg palace.
The first thing I did when we arrived at the museum apart from putting my stuff away in a locker was to go to the Egyptian section. In there the one thing I found the most interesting was the doorway to the underworld. According to a short audio book I listened to while I was there it would allow for the soul to pass back and forth from the underworld it also said that a multitude of tombs had one of them. I then wandered around the museum looking at different pieces of artwork (Unluckily at this time I cannot remember any names but I can assure you that was amazing).

After we left the museum we then went to the front of the Christiansborg palace where we met up with the other watches after some decision-making and some photo taking we split up into small groups with a minimum of three to walk around the city freely. My group firstly headed back to Nyhavn then heading to the Royal Garden after a quick look around we then headed back to the ship had dinner and then I went to sleep.
