The day started with a – as always – wonderful breakfast prepared by Mitch. Today, there were even scrambled eggs instead of fried eggs!

Right after breakfast, we received the announcement of the deepest deep clean we’ve had so far. An inspector was supposed to come to the ship at 2:30 p.m. to take a look around. So everyone – except a few who were on watch – started scrubbing the boat, vacuuming the corridors, wiping tables and inspecting every smallest corner until everything was spotless.

Then we all had to pack our things into our bags and prepare backpacks for six days in Morocco – a bit chaotic…

By 2:30 p.m., all the bags and backpacks were packed, every little corner was cleaned. Lemon water and apple slices were laid out and we were all sitting upstairs at the tables in our Ocean College polos, waiting impatiently for the inspector.

Plot twist:

At 3:35 p.m., we learned via a message that Maxim had sent to Marie’s cell phone that we would no longer be getting a visitor. Instead, he might stop by in the next few days, if at all.

So, everyone relaxed again. The apple slices and lemon water quickly disappeared and everyone spread out in different corners with various card and board games.

The rest of the day was quite relaxed and ended with a movie night in the mess room. Forrest Gump was streamed on the projector and then everyone went to bed to get ready for the football game the next day. But more on that tomorrow…
