The day began with a tasty breakfast like every morning. At 08:00 am, watch 3 was ready to sail the ship for the next four hours over the royal blue Atlantic.

Recently, we have the “Tagestopsgasten,” who are students from our watch who have to do the activities like the normal quartermasters (“Topsgasten”). Today our quartermaster was Neele. So, under her commands, we started our watch with the daily yoga session and sailing lessons.

At 12:00, we got to eat a really delicious lunch, which was potatoes with vegetables. Afterwards, Miriam opened her hair salon and made a few of us look great again.

The coming evening was pretty relaxed. We started with a workshop from Mona where she showed us how to make bracelets from yarn, while group A had a lesson with Andi.

At 17:00, we reset our clocks by an hour (we do this every 25 percent of the Atlantic crossing route). So at 16:00 (new time), the girls had a group discussion in which multiple topics were discussed.

Additionally, one of our rather new program points, the saltwater shower, was open for use again at 17:00 (new time). Due to the heat, it has been quite a relief to be able to cool down knowing you can use as much water as you like.

As for dinner, we had our usual: bread with various different cheeses, sausages, etc. and to wrap up the day, we had a galley karaoke party.

Philine: Liebe Grüße an Mama, ich hoffe, Dir geht es gut und Du kannst die Weihnachtszeit auch etwas genießen. Ich freue mich, wenn wir uns bald wiedersehen.

Lotta: Grüßt alle anderen
