Today started for me at midnight because I had anchor watch. A couple of others stayed up too, like Liv, one of our two birthday girls. She read her letters from home, which we got from Robert and unpacked a small parcel from her parents. The parcel contained, among other things, new matching Croc pins.

In the morning, the galley crew, consisting of Nepomuk, Charlotte and Sophia, made a fantastic birthday breakfast for Ylva and Liv. We had pancakes and homemade Nutella, since none could be found in the Proviantraum.

After breakfast, the new crew introduced themselves and we shortly talked about safety procedures on board (fire, person overboard, etc.). Then Alex, our first female captain, announced an all hands to make the Johnny ready for leaving Cuba. I spent most of that time cleaning up watermelon in the Proviantraum.

Before going to a different dock for fuel, we were allowed to cut up the broken K3 to keep some sailcloth. Getting to the fuel dock was very interesting. We tied car tires to the front of the dinghies and they pushed from different angles to help the Johnny maneuver without crashing into anything.

When we were safely lying at the new dock, it was already 12:00. But just before we could enjoy a tasty lunch of wraps, the Roald drove into the harbour.

Shortly after lunch, we left the harbour and set sail towards Bermuda. Again, the dinghies helped us to maneuver and we pulled them up after we were outside.

We had great wind and set all the sails we could until 15:30, when we had brownies for our afternoon snack. Not much happened after that, and the day ended quite normally.

Greetings:
