The arrival

Day ‚zero‘, Emden, the day of  most arrivals, the day of the pockets blocking the hallway. After all, everything is stowed and it was the first birthday (Paul). Then getting to know the others. A football tournament with paparazzi was hosted after the sailing suits, hoodies and T-shirts were distributed. There was a first introducing in the life at the pelican from the crew, Johan and the Ocean College-Team.

The toilets do not work

When all the students arrived and the rooms were set up, there were the first problems with the toilets because they didn’t flush. After trying several times and 30 minutes of horrible waiting, the toilets finally flushed and all students went to the toilet.

The next day

The first night and watch on the Pelican is over and the day and rules on board were explained by Simon. Pete sang with us shanties and the best part of the day was the boattour with Simon and the explanation of the bridge. We also tried the emergency suits on. That looks very funny. And we talked about safety on bord.
