Today we started the day with yoga, followed by a run after breakfast. The breakfast was, as always, really delicious.

While doing yoga, the police came by and forbade us from continuing our activities. This was quite ridiculous, as no one else was around and we weren’t disturbing anyone. After we had to stop yoga, some people went to get gas with Jimmy. The running group climbed a mountain, gaining some elevation (160 m).

While some of us were exercising, two other girls had the crazy idea to shave their heads. On the main deck, there was hair everywhere, but the new bold look suits them and they’re really happy about it, which is wonderful.

At eleven o’clock, we set sail for Safi in Morocco. We’re all very excited and luckily now that we’re used to sailing, we don’t get seasick anymore. Anneke and Marie baked cookies for everyone and they tasted amazing. The weather was beautiful and sunny, so we were able to tan on deck.

In addition, we had some personal discussions with our teachers about our current learning progress, as classes officially begin tomorrow.

Later, we encountered the sailing ship Alexander von Humboldt II at sea and we were truly impressed by its enormous size. We also spotted some whales on the horizon, which was incredible.

We ended the day with a beautiful sunset and excitement for the days ahead.

Much love and greetings to our families and friends – we miss and love you all very much!
