The last day on Sea

Today, we started pretty early, at 06:30, to have enough time for cleaning. We had breakfast at 07:00 and then began distributing the cleaning tasks. I, for example, had the Achterschiff today – the back part of the ship. There, I cleaned all the sinks, used anti-mold cleaner in one of the showers and wiped the floor.

Before lunch, we took down all the sails for the last time and packed them using the blue Persenninge. At 14:30 we arrived at our anchoring spot in front of IJmuiden. It was a strange feeling being back here, seeing the course we took at the very beginning of our journey again on the computer’s map.

We spent the rest of the day continuing to clean and starting to pack our things. For dinner, we had tasty pizza for the last time. Now, we’re all enjoying the last hours and the last sunset on board we have together, before tackling the final tasks tomorrow – and finally seeing our families again.
