OceacnCollege Team (eng)
With Ocean College, Johan Kegler realizes his conviction that learning must be individual and practical and that it should always be a development of personality. Johan was already a teacher and project manager at the sailing classroom in 2008/2009 and therefore knows the route and life on the ship from his own experience. Since then, the potential of an educational concept on a traditional sailing ship has not let him go. Johan is firmly convinced that the conventional school system does not sufficiently prepare for the life and work world of the future.
In his professional life, Johan combines a variety of educational commitments with his experience as a trainer in the competitive sport of rowing and as a coach in the private sector.
Monika Aust is a technical business economist and is responsible for accounting and secretarial work at Ocean College.
She also assists the management.
She joined the project through Falco Aust and was immediately enthusiastic about the idea of bringing the world to young people from a different perspective. She has travelled a lot in the world herself and knows that it is important especially for young people to learn new things and to gain experience for life
