Finally better weather

Last night at 11:00 I woke up, looked at the time and was wondering why nobody woke me up for my 8–12 watch.

This late it wouldn’t have made sense to go to watch anymore, so I slept through the night and then Paula came into my cabin to finally wake me up at 07:00.

For breakfast we had yoghurt for the first time since Vigo. It was a bit glibbery but still really yummy 🙂

Afterwards I went to watch, where we fixed some things that had broken during the storm the last days, like the left storage chest („Backskiste“) in the front or the „Vorstengestagsegel” (one of the front sails).

The latter had a big tear in its fabric, so we changed it for the spare sail.

Also, I found out why nobody woke me up: It was a misunderstanding, but in the end it was good for me, so I could sleep for some more hours.

After a really tasty lunch (rice with curry) on deck in the sun, cabin 2 and 8 had to deep-clean their rooms, which means that they had to put out everything until the cabin was completely empty. Because of that, the whole hallway was full of their stuff and it was really complicated to walk through.

After they finished cleaning their rooms, they filmed a room tour, so you will see our ship from the inside at some point.

In the evening we had milk rice for dinner and now I will go to watch.
