Of personality tests and tea parties

After Breakfast, our day started with a german lesson with Andi where we analysed the lyrics of a song from Rammstein called „Deutschland“. After that interesting class we enjoyed really tasty roasted potatoes for lunch.

In the early afternoon, we had the opportunity to do a personality test with Philine.

She is a Deckshand in practice and studies psychology. We learned that the personality of a person can be divided into five sections: Honesty-Humility, Emotionality, Extraversion, Agreeableness, Conscientiousness and Openness to Experience. Each Person has the sections marked different.

The test was very interesting and I think we all learned something new about ourselves.

At 15:30 we had an All Hands where the Captain told us that we will soon be arriving in the bay of Martinique. In following, a group of students, including Mona, Sarah, Kilian, Maya and Paula, gave us a briefing about Martinique and what we must beware of when we anchor there. 

Leonie, Ella and I spent the rest of our time until dinner on the first platform of the Großtop, where we talked and enjoyed the view. That is really relaxing.

Today some people caught a Wahoo (a fish) which was then prepared for dinner. It was very tasty and made everyone happy. 

It might seem crazy to you but even though it is 30 degrees here, some of us enjoy drinking a tea in the evening. So while I did that, Mona, Leonie and Ella wanted to taste my tea. They all loved it because it tastes like punch with cinnamon, which gives you a cozy cristmas feeling.

Mona then had the idea to do a tea party. So where other people do a wine testing, we did a tea testing and after that, we traded our teas. But after drinking so much of the hot drink, it was too warm in the mess room so we ended our day with watching the stars on the night sky in the cool evening air on deck.
