When I woke up, the day started for me with the sentence: „You have Green Plan in the Messe.“ Here on the boat, Green Plan is the everyday cleaning of the toilets and the Messe, which is done by the school group.

So I started cleaning the Messe and when I was ready, school started at 09:00.

First, we had two English lessons and at the moment we’re doing a lot about CVs and motivation letters because soon we’re going to have our take over on board where we students are going to apply for the jobs on board like captain, cooking coordination, chief or teacher.

So to get one of these jobs we have to write our application, a CV and our motivation letter and all of this has to be written in English, so this is why we do this in our English lessons.

At 11:00 we were finished with the English lesson and one hour later it was lunchtime where we had a delicious potato gratin. After lunchtime, the Selbstlernzeit started for the school group and a lot of students were working on their CVs and the others were doing stuff from their home school.

At the end of Selbstlernzeit we had coffee and cake and afterwards there was AG time and Birte was giving a workshop about whether there should be grades at Ocean College or not.

The workshop was really interesting and you got to see the different sides to this theme, like from the home school which has to get something to know what we were doing for school stuff here on board.

When we were finished with the workshop it was dinner time and afterwards the everyday evening chill time in the Messe started. While I (Mathilda) was cutting potatoes for my Backschaft tomorrow, Helena had the brilliant idea to play Stadt Land Vollpfosten – the ship edition. The game very quickly turned into a wild discussion about which words are okay to use and which are not.

After the round was finished, there was a little Kombüse meeting and then Leopold and I sent Helena to bed and sang her a sleeping song. On the way to get some bread out of the fridge, we met Sören and sang him a sleeping song as well so that he can sleep very well.

Afterwards we let the day end with some time together in the Messe.
