In the midnight, at 01:00, the day started with a „Halse“, so that we didn’t collide with a „Verkehrstrennungsgebiet“. I was pulled out of bed with no sleep and half of the team was again seasick. Only Ruby, Leopold and Manja were also on deck with the C-Watch.

Immediately after going through the „Halse“, the next sail broke – the „Baumfok“, like every day. Something always breaks. The sail had to be shut down. The next two hours I had a completely wet night watch; luckily, the weather became a bit more comfortable over time.

The other watches drove the „Halse“ back to the original course in the morning before breakfast. They also packed the broken sail away. Today I skipped breakfast because I had the watch from 02:00–05:00; otherwise, I would have had no sleep.

The other watches had a classic sailing routine, like the other days, but it began that we students became the watch leaders for our own watches – not the teachers anymore. Then, for lunch, I woke up and we had typical baked potatoes. After lunch, the A-Watch had to take on the new sail.

First, we needed to search for it. After we found it, we unfolded the sail to set it up. With the help of Jürgen, Urs, Tamo and Manja, this took hours, so my watch was over and sadly I missed tea time. In my free time, I played card games; a lot of the rest did a power nap.

Then we had our first „Students‘ Meeting“. In this meeting, Sören and Helena presented to us how we should do the meetings. Also, we decided on our first student speakers: Nepomuk and Klara. At last, we checked who cleans for the ones who make bread. At night, I finished my day with a quick nap before my watch at midnight.
