A normal day on the Atlantic

Today was a normal Atlantic crossing day. We had a normal breakfast with Overnight oats and bread. Before lunch, the schoolgroup wrote a Mathexam. For lunch we had potatos with cheese and vegetables.
And after Lunch we had Reinschiff, we needed to clean everything and count everything in the bilges, because we got some problems with the food in the last week:

We ran out of sugar, cooking oil, marmelade, fresh vegetables and we almost ran out of butter. But we already found some solutions, we use Honey and agave sirup instead of sugar, jelly instead of marmelade, coconut fat instead of cooking oil and vegetables out of a can instead of fresh vegetables, so we have nothing to fear about…

And in two days we are in the Azores anyways, so it doesn’t really matter… for Dinner we just had bread and some leftovers.

After Dinner Vincent and me played Codenames against Ruby and Margot. We said that the Loser team is going to be the slowest in the head on the ship.

But sadly we didn’t got any winner or loser because Ruby needed to go to watch midgame. So we played some more rounds with Margot, Paul, Vincent, Leopold, Mats, Munguru, Helena, Emil, Klara, Manja and me.

For those who dont know what Codenames is:

Its a Group Game, so you play at least 2vs2 or maximum 4vs4. In a 2 Player team is player 1 who needs to make calls like „bikecycle 2“ and player 2 needs then to guess what 2 words player 1 wants player 2 to guess.

So for preperation: Both Player 1, from each team, needs to pick together 30 Random words out of a box full of pieces of paper with words on it, like: Train, walter white, Johann Smidt, sailing boat, Tiger…

9 for the first team
9 for the other team
1 Dead word
And 11 neutral words

The other player 2 are not allowed to see what word is where (dead word, neutral words , team words…) and when both player 1 are done, they give all 30 words to the other player 2.

They need to lay it side by side on the table.

So for the start one teams player 1 say a word, like „Ocean College 2“ and player 2 search then for the words that have a connection to the call from player one, like: Johann smidt and sailing boat.

How you win: When your team got all 9 words from the raster. How you lose: When your player 2 picks the dead word, so like: you called „Atlantic 2“ and there are the words „Pacific, Boat and Water“ but pacific is the dead word, when player 2 picks it instead of boat or water, then is the game over and you lose.
