The night was very windy, with high waves and a cool breeze. Overall, we had a rough night, to say the least.

But there is hope: In the morning, the sky cleared and the waves tended to go down. The sea became calmer and the mood went up.

After breakfast, the beauty of the Chalk Cliffs of Dover came into our sight. What a lovely way to start this day. After that amazing encounter, the spirits were high and the seasickness got a bit better as well – at least for some of us.

Today in the galley, we made some curry with rice and sausages, with the instructions from our captain Uli. Honestly, it’s hard to cook when every wave sends you flying across the kitchen, but at some point, it becomes bearable.

Even though the smell of the sausages, in combination with the movement of the ship, made us walk out the side doors every 10–15 minutes, we managed to cook a delicious meal, which made many people very happy. 🙂

After that, all the students had to come down to the dining room, where Uli held a speech regarding some of the rules aboard. After that, we all went up and enjoyed the sun. 🙂
