Good start, great ending

After the long day we’ve had yesterday everybody was super exhausted, so almost our whole watch (4-8) fell asleep again after they’ve got woken up.

Fortunately Sophia was responsible and kind enough to get up immediately and wake the other ones a few more times ;D

Already during our watch change, we’ve heard about a mustard incident that took place in the galley but only discovered what had happened when we wanted to get fruit for a fruit-salad out of the cooling.

After such a good start and a few more power naps, the greatest part of our daily plan was to sort the garbage, which we couldn’t leave in Praia – a super disgusting task to do but we’ve resolved it pretty quickly.

Since we’ve already left for the Atlantic crossing, which will take us probably a few weeks, we don’t have the space to store huge amounts of trash. Therefore our engineer explained to us how to properly sort our garbage.

After leaving the last piece of land we’ll see for weeks behind, the captain showed us a chart and the route for the upcoming days. During our watch we set sails and braced a few times. Other than that, the rest of the day went pretty easy, lots of people chilled on deck together and in the evening we discovered, that our shanty repertoire is growing step by step.

In addition we had some feedback conversations with our teachers.

Greetings:

Sophia: Danke für die Lichterkette Mama ❤️! Ich vermisse euch! Ganz Liebe Grüße auch an Valentina.
