All the things we experienced

In the last days we experienced so many last times. The last land stop, the last sibling and the last sail setting.
Today is the day, we finally had to collect all our stuff and pack them up.

After the breakfast it started. The Bilgen were cleared up and the bags were brought to his owner. One after another had two hours to pack their stuff.

This is the last step. Slowly the ship transformed back in the Johann Smidt. Less and less the ship feels like our home, Johnny. All ways were filled with bags and it looks like half a year ago, when we first entered the Johnny and looked forward to the adventures we expected.

Know all this lays behind us.
The last days come.
Sunday we finally see our family’s.
A great time is over but we can remember all the great moments.

The first week at the boat. We had to stay in Scheveningen, because the weather was very bad. We learned much about sailing and how to live on such a big ship.

The way to Brest was influenced by stormy weather and seasickness. Then we arrived in Brest. The stop was not planned, but we had to fix many sails and we needed a new life raft.

Morocco was the next stop. The first time we were longer at land. We will remember all the great adventures we experienced.

Teneriffa, the first time we phoned with our family and friends.
We met the Roald Amundsen and went together on a walk. It was very funny and a little cold.

The next stop was Cap Verde. We visited the loneliest city all over the world. A highlight was the snorkeling withe sea turtles. This was so cool.

The next step was the first Atlantic crossing. In 17 days we crossed the sea with a lot of sunshine.

Just before Christmas we reached Martinique. We phoned with our family. And had some wonderful days with swimming and hiking.

We celebrated the Christmas Eve in Bequia with some pizza at the beach. Thanks to big Jo we had a lot of pizza.
Sylvester was one of the nicest days on board and we saw the fireworks from Columbia.

The next stop was the Paradise. Island on island. Beaches and the beautiful sea. We slept on a lonely island. San Blas was very special.

Costa Rica! The longest stop on our journey. We visited the BriBri and learned som Spain. Carlos showed how coffee was made and the Expi-Days were very good.

After as short stop in Providencia, Kuba holds some surprises. After Months we ride a bicycle for the first time. It was very fun.

After an emergency stop on the Bahamas we arrived in Bermuda. We experienced so much and had a very fun time.

The second Atlantic crossing lie ahead. In 21 days we crossed the north Atlantik.

We arrived at the Azores. Finally we were back in Europe. Between phone calls and Peters Café Sport we experienced so many beautiful und great moments.

The last stop before Scheveningen was Cherbourg. The stop was not planned but we had the best last land-stop ever.

All this was such a great time.
Now music plays and everyone packed up their bags.

In the last half a year so many happened. Each of the 32 people I can call family.

But now we have to leave all this behind to go back to our other family. But surely we will experience much more adventures.
