As some of you may already know we have a sister ship called Roald. And however between our ships happens a lot of comparison, wich ship is better? Of course we are!!! So as we are friends with them we also kind of enemies at the same time and fighting each other.

So last time we lay in the same harbor together they somehow managed to get on our ship in the middle of the night and hoist a boxer shorts (underwear) where we normally set our flag.

As we were passing them on our way out of the harbor driving to our next stop grenadines, they pointed there fingers over our heads and what we saw, was ashamed. Of course we felt pathetic and we took it down immediately but the damage was done already. We had to take revenge.

So we made a plan and Bermuda should be our next chance. They arrived laying just next to us and we wanted to strike in the night like they did. On the first day nothing happened but on the second has come our time or should has. But they had been prepared with a good attention paying watch knowing that we were coming so we could do nothing.

They even wanted to strike a second time themselves and checked out our ship multiple times. We couldn’t hold them of, so in the morning we had a pink heart painted on our Anker. They must have took a Dinghi (Beiboot) with wich they drove over and did this. But whatever they were able to do, we can do it better. Next day was the day we were leaving, again.

We couldn’t let the past rerole itself, lucky 🍀 for us the students were gone today and left their ship with out proper protection just a few crew members nothing we can’t handle. We don’t have or own ocean College flag so we took theirs and replaced it with a AI generated picture were a strong man (Johnny) holds a tiny dog on the line (Roald). We also drove over with the Dinghi and wrote „Johnny on top⬆️ #1“ with a chalk marker.

Just on their heck where Roald Amundsen is standing. And somewhere near the streets of the harbor a surprise is waiting for them. Just as we were leaving they came back to see all the things we’ve done, that was a good feeling.

So we hoist now OUR Ocean College flag right before their eyes, drove out the habor, set the sails on our way back home crossing the Atlantic with a good mood😎.

Yes it’s already time for us, we’re heading back to Europe, how time flies! We only have another 1,5 month. The journey has almost ended, our second Atlantic crossing will take 15-20 days (I think are calculated for this time).

Leaving Bermuda back home!

Soon we will be back living the normal lives we had before. Nothing to bad of course but sad in a way. Anyway we are happy to be here.

Words from our Captain:

Well, we departed here from St. Georges Bermuda March 4th and the plan is to sail the distance of approximately 2100 nautical miles, with an average speed of 4.3 knots, so that we might arrive permitting on 25 March.

We want to sail faster with the lease but unfortunately you can feel the climate change because of the moment we do have east winds and we are looking positively forward to catch the West lease, also that we might arrive earlier at a Azores. Then I intend to visit with you western Island of the archipelago flourish, where you can make a hike up to a volcano and then I like to go with you through the archipelago and searching for whales.

I do hope that we might sail it under calm conditions not as you have had during your departure out of Scheveningen, facing the storms.

It could be possible that we might catch also stronger wind coming closer to the outdoors, but last year, we had the same position so we had to run down a storm. So now we are heading more or less Eastwood like last year.
