Dawn of the second chapter

Today is the last day of the first chapter and therefore also of the first jobs. In other words, starting tomorrow there will be a new nautical crew, new teachers, new cooking coordination and especially a new bread baker.

Only the project leader remains Munguru for a few days and Paul still remains machinist. As the nautical crew, we officers and the captain met those of the second chapter and reported the situation.

So what they will have to do, what we had done and some tips on how the real officers like to work and how they handle their watch. Of course, some are happy because they get a job and don’t have watch or Backschaft anymore, but for some the game also runs the other way around (for me, per example, well).

But to be serious, with the beginning of the second chapter we began the very last part of our journey and the last watches and Backschaften have been found. I remember all my watch groups during the trip as if they were yesterday but very soon the six months will be just over.

In general, here on board we can’t quite realize that soon we won’t all see each other as often anymore. No matter the grief music.

Today we also had a time change again, which means we’re only behind you for an hour anymore and we only had three hours watch, haha. For lunch there was chilli con and sin carne with couscous and nevertheless that we are so fast (we made 11 knots at one point) with so much wind and waves, luckily nobody is still seasick! True Seabears.

Also my watch had to pack the Try-Sail again (hardest thing on this planet) but sadly it was wet and we don’t had the place to pack it right so we kinda failed (see the picture).

Of course, we also had a wonderful self-learning time with Sören again and finally a player round with Skyjo and a slightly longer talking party until 04:00 in the night. There is still a lot of crocheting here on board, but otherwise everything is the same.
