Deep Clean and ready for sea

Bad News:

After the breakfast at 07:30 we had Theorie with Jürgen about sea charts and bearings. This was very hard to understand, because it was so complicated.

When the lesson was over, we ate lunch and Norbert told us his bad news. He said that we will not be able to leave the harbour until tomorrow.

The Toilet Chaos:

More bad news was that one toilet in the girls’ section overflowed.

The best machinist André began working on a solution directly after talking about the problem. At first, he tried some basic techniques, but unfortunately they did not work. So, we had to pump out the pipe, which took about seven hours. Hopefully, now the toilet is fixed.

Galley:

Our galley team had an eventful day that was filled with ups and downs. The fun activities were the carnival party that they had while they cleaned the kitchen. The bad part was that one pot flipped over with all the food inside. But all in all, the food still ended up delicious and they had fun.

Land Program:

Because we were not able to leave the harbor, we had land program. Some of us were eating Dutch food and others went to the supermarket and bought some snacks and also colourful plasters for Tamo, so he can give them out for comfort.

Big Johnny Cleaning:

To end the day, we were divided into groups and every group had a part of the ship to clean. It was very intensive, because we had to take out everything and clean until all the dirt was gone.

That was the sixth day on the Jonny of Ocean College 2025–2026.

Sophie: Für meine Familie, Paul und Greta, nicht meine Sachen aus mein Zimmer raus nehmen. Mama und Papa, hab‘ euch lieb. Großeltern, ich hoffe es geht euch gut. Voor vrienden, ik hoop dat het goed met jullie gaat. Alba, ik hoop dat je vader mijn groetjes door heeft gegeven, zo niet ik kon niet meer naar de AH komen omdat ik weer trerug moest naar de boot. Morgen zeilen we weg… ik hoop dat ik niet teveel ga overgeven. We gaan om 8 uur en we zijn nog op dezelfde positie, kom kijken als je zin hebt:)
