First day in Cuba

The day started with a super delicious breakfast: Chocolate rolls and scrambled eggs. According to the Green Plan, the school group had self-learning time. However, for some it was already over after an hour because they had to do deck work as a punishment.

Whether it was greasing the protector, the anchor, or cleaning the engine room, it was quite exhausting. In addition, there was sailing work on the mainsail and the Klüver.

Why? Because a few students were too loud in the evening at the fair, our common room.

Everyone was happy about lunch because everyone needed this refreshment for subsequent deck work and a thorough clean ship. Entering the port of Cuba was very frightening, as this huge port is deserted.

A maximum of ten other ships are next to us. Behind it is a huge modern hotel complex with no soul. It feels like the rest of mankind is extinct. Not a single restaurant is open. Really, nobody is here.

Immediately after our arrival, everyone worked diligently on Reinschiff. By dinner, we were all done and could look forward to the Pathway performances. Media, Science, and Economics each presented their results.

Then we explored the pier and therefore had to postpone our film evening a bit. Our film evening took place with sponsored snacks from the teachers. Everyone loved The Greatest Showman. Late in the evening, everyone fell into bed exhausted.

Helene: Hallo an zuhause! Auch wenn ich die heutige Strafarbeit nicht angemessen fand, ist es immer super schön hier an Bord☺️Heute haben wir in Kuba angelegt und ich bin sehr gespannt, wie es wird. Habe euch alle ganz doll lieb❤️❤️
