The 19. March – a ride in the past

Today is the 19th of March. Today we have punctual one month left. One month were we have to enjoy the time which is left. One month were we live together on a ship, but not any ship, the Johnny, our home.

In the last time we think more and more about the past, about funny, iconic and beautiful moments, but also about scary ones.

I mean, do you remind, when we came to Scheveningen, when we have made Nepomuk a buzzcut at the second day, when someones were in the harbour seasick, yes, I mean Sophie, Caspar and Leopold.

And the seasickness don’t got an end when we go out of the harbour and passed the English channel and lost our life raft. Then we were finally in Marocco, no moving ground but the best Crépes we ever had.

In Teneriffa started the fight between us and the other ships, for the first time we had seen the Thalassa, Eendracht, Regina Maris and Roald Amundsen. And so started the battle with the other schools on sea.

On Cape Verde we had another battle, our second football match against the locals in Monte Trigo. It was a very exciting and close game, but the result is unfortunately unknown.

Then we had our first Atlantic crossing, 15 days we were on sea, an infinity time until then but now we know what infinity really means.

After 15 days we got to know Martinique, land which costs our full wallet. But at least it was very cool, we built a new bench and new cuts. Yes, Amalia and Melanie changed their hairstyles and so we go again fresh on sea.

Merry Christmas! An amazing day on Bequia was the 24. December. We all have best memories about tasty pizza at the beach, a beautiful sunset and a stranded boat. Our little gift which we found on the Johnny by coming on board again. Bequia was an absolute once in a lifetime stop.

The next holiday was silvester by Columbia. We had a ball with games, saw firework and started the new Year all together. 2026 was a new beginning with many plans which we want to fill when we come home. A new beginning without our families but with us, with our big family.

And then came Costa Rica, our experience there was big: We have learned so much more, about other cultures and lifestyles. We had very much fun, especially in the language school, were someones had a very big hangover. Also the Expi days were very funny and showed us how to plan and live in another country.

Then our next stop after a splash and dash at Providencia was Cuba, a big crisis was showed us. It was a completely different experience, not only funny, it was crazy to see how the people live in a economy crisis like this. But also there we had very much fun in the night. Tamos goodbye party was very big and brought a hard morning for the most of us.

On sea we began to refresh our home, we painted all white and rush the rust away. Bermuda cleared our wallets after Martinique now completely. The beautiful islands was very expensive but also very tasty. We all were very happy about the good food like Chinese, lobster or backery stuff.

All days had a cool end at beaches or on the pier. Also we left nice comments for the Roald on the pier, we were the winners of the fight for this time.

And now we sail to the Azorean, pass the Atlantic Ocean for the second time. We grap our sailor jackets and try to escape from the storm.

So we all enjoy the last month with our big family on our home.
