Mood

Today at 11:30 we had our daily meeting. We were very excited because the Captain told us that we will be in Vigo tomorrow morning. The wind changed to our favor and due to the good wind we will be in Vigo earlier than expected. Our mood was very good and we’re looking forward to Vigo.

Sails

Todays watch from 08:00 – 12:30 (it was the T’Gallant watch and Greta was part of it) set four sails, because as already mentioned, the wind is very good. The names of the sails are: Inner jib, Foregaff, Topsail and Trysail. The ship’s engine is still active, but soon we will only use sails to move forward 🙂 Karl’s watch (he is part of the Royal watch) was from 12:30-16:00. His watch didn’t set sails, but there’s still something exciting to tell: Karl saw about nine ships. That is a lot in comparison to the past days, because in the past days we saw almost no ships at all; during those days we literally felt like we’re the only ship at sea. But now there are a lot more ships around us, because we’re currently in a traffic separation zone.

Galley duty

The messmen (Anna B., Teresa and Lena) had a very creative idea to avoid crying while cutting onions. They went down to their cabins, got their goggles and cut the onions while wearing goggles. It really helped! There’s a photo below😆 In the evening we had a great sunset 🙂
That was our day!
