Citizen Science

Citizen Science means citizen research – that is, scientific laypeople can participate in research projects and broaden their horizons while on vacation. For this purpose, we have founded Citizen Science trips and offer cruises on research ships.

As Citizen Scientists, the passengers not only travel on the research ship, but also support the researchers on board in carrying out various research projects.

Academia Tica

Our longest in-country stay takes place on Spanish-speaking soil in Costa Rica, where our students attend the Academia Tica language school in San José and Jacò and learn basic Spanish.

Seasyourfuture

Founded in 2008, Seasyourfuture is a non-profit organization that supports the development of young people through sail training. In 2011, the organization acquired the sailing vessel “T.S. Pelican of London” to further their goals. Since then, they have worked with over 300 young people between the ages of 15 and 30

Ocean College has been working with Seasyourfuture since 2019.
