Second Day of Surfing

Today was the second surfing lesson and the waves were bigger than yesterday and much rougher. But when the sun came out, it was really nice. For some of us, today’s lesson was more successful than yesterday; I managed to stand up for the first time.

We had free shore leave after the surfing lesson and went back to the center of the city, because we were really hungry and exhausted after surfing.

We looked for a long time to find somewhere where we could all eat, so I decided to eat with Flurina.

A lot of cute cats and dogs followed us on our way to the beach and through the city. One of them really stole our hearts and we wanted to bring her on board of the Johnny, but Norbert wouldn’t have found that so cool. 💀

After seven hours on shore, we waited for our mates on board. We were really happy when Andre picked us up. We got really wet on the way back home.

After dinner, we had our weekly school parliament and besides other things, we talked about getting Nutella, so we can make a Nutella day once a week.

An Anouk: Kann es sein, dass ich Deine schwarze Bikini Hose mitgenommen habe, weil ich eine ausgepackt habe, die nicht mir gehört. Außerdem vermisse ich Dich ganz doll und würd‘ Dir gerne so Vieles erzählen und auch von Dir hören. Ich will noch unbedingt ein Foto von Dir an Halloween sehen und von Deinem Konfi-Kleid. An Papa: Ich weiß ja, dass Du gerne den Blog liest, hast du dich gefreut, dass er von mir ist? Ich weiß nicht, ob ihr die Briefe schon zurück bekommen habt. Mir geht’s super, ich liebe alles hier, es ist so toll und ich hab‘ immer noch nicht wirklich realisiert, dass ich hier bin.

Danke, dass ihr mir das ermöglicht habt und auch danke, dass Du mich davon abgehalten hast, letztes Jahr mitzufahren, dann hätte ich all diese tollen Dinge und die mir echt ans Herz gewachsenen Menschen nicht kennenlernen können. Ich vermisse Dich und Deine Ratschläge, hab‘ Dich ganz doll lieb.

An meine Freunde: Ich hoffe, bei euch ist alles gut, ich vermisse euch und freu‘ mich riesig, wieder von euch zu hören! Hab‘ euch alle ganz doll lieb, Kuss 💋

Happy Day

The day started with the song „Last Christmas,“ even though we still have to wait 59 more days. Nevertheless, motivated, Kasper prepared a little workout for us. In addition to a lot of muscle soreness, we will have perfect sporty Baywatch bodies in the Caribbean.

After that, we met in groups to discuss the details for our pathway presentations. There are three pathways we could choose from before the journey started: economics, science, and media. In each of these areas, each of us will work on a topic that we will present, followed by a discussion.

During these preparations, we were interrupted by a fire alarm, in which we are now professionals. After an excellent execution (it took us only four minutes until everyone was „saved“), the crew prepared the fire hoses, etc.

The election of the student representatives in the ship’s council was the main topic for today after the test alarm. Sophia, Enno, Marie, Johannes, Jana and Balthasar were elected in a nerve-wracking election. Congratulations again at this point!

Happy and full after a fantastic lunch, everyone grabbed a cleaning cloth because it was time for the very unpleasant program point of the day: The legendary Happy Hour.

The Happy Hour, meaning a deep clean of the whole ship, dragged on so long that it could be called a Happy Day. This was mainly because Marie, no matter how many times she had already wiped the room, always found a dusty corner. Summa summarum, we can now say that we have the cleanest ship of all seven oceans (thanks to Marie).

Franz: An alle: Die erste Woche war mega cool trotz Seekrankheit am ersten Abfahrtstag. An meine Fam: Ich hab‘ euch lieb.

Marie: Hallooo!! Mir geht’s super, ich hatte Galley, wo ich richtig gut drin bin und wurde in den Schiffsrat gewählt, damit hab‘ ich gar nicht gerechnet 🙂 Grüße <3
