Here we would like to give you tips so that you know what we value in your application.

Since life on a sailing ship really means life in a community, team spirit and motivation are especially important to us! Therefore, write in your application why YOU of all people will fit into our team.

What we want to know about you:

WHO are you?
WHAT makes you special?
WHY should we take exactly you with us on our next cruise?

Content

It is clear to us that you are particularly interested in foreign countries and cultures at Ocean College and that you are an adventurous person, which is why we simply assume that at this point. Interesting questions for us are:

  • What should you never miss on a trip?
  • Which country are you looking forward to the most?
  • What is your personal strength? What do people appreciate about you?
  • If Ocean College didn’t work out for you, what would you try?
  • What experiences have you had traveling so far?
  • Which of your qualities would you like to work on in the future?
  • How will traveling with Ocean College affect your personal development?

Style

We welcome all types of application through our application form:

  • Letter of motivation as a small presentation (PowerPoint, Prezi or similar)
  • Text document with pictures
  • Letter of motivation with subheadings (e.g. this is me, these are my hobbies, this means teamwork for me, …)
  • Length: Please do not exceed two DIN A4 pages
